POWDER COATING

In 2021,Alcas established a new powder coating line equipped with technological innovations; the latest version of Swiss GEMA painting booth. Chrome-Free passivation can be applied in 14 meters long pretreatment tanks. Aluminum profiles up to 13.4 meters long can be powder coated in compliance with Qualicoat Seaside and AAMA quality standards.

Alcas is the first and only company in the extrusion sector capable of powder coating 13.4 meters long profiles at full extrusion length without the need for additional welding and joining processes. Alcas’ powder coating facility is unique in terms of length for the construction industries, including terrace and shading systems, awning pergola, and Decking Cladding systems.

Alcas’ electrostatic powder coating line can paint 18,000 tons of aluminum profiles per year. In this line, a brushing process is carried out before passivation to improve surface quality and paint adhesion performance.

High-Performance Class 2 Primer

The profiles are coated with a Class 2 electrostatic primer, specially formulated by Pulver, Akzo Nobel, and Jotun, in Alcas’s modern coating facilities.

This high-performance coating system ensures long-lasting protection against sun, rain, snow, and wind.

10-Year Warranty

Thanks to the Class 2 primer, covered by a 10-year warranty, the profiles maintain their appearance stable for many years.

Advanced Coating Process

Profiles from 1 m to 13.4 m in length undergo chromium-free passivation in specialized tanks, then are painted according to Qualicoat Seaside and AAMA quality standards.

High Capacity & Surface Preparation

Our electrostatic powder coating line can paint up to 18,000 tons of aluminum profiles per year.

Before passivation, the surfaces are satin-finished to improve surface quality and enhance paint adhesion.
